Bali, Bali, Bali !!!!

Back home to reality now after spending a GLORIOUS 12 days at Club Med in Bali. The first few days were horrible with the kids exhausted & adjusting to the time difference, but the last week of the trip was just absolute bliss! We made some new friends there (one couple from WA & one couple from Darwin) who we will keep in contact with long term. We are still in contact with a couple from Qld we met at Club Med in Malaysia!

Owen, my big brave boy, on the trapeze!!!

I had good intentions of exercising & eating well - got up early the first morning to get on the Xtrainer in the gym, but it was an old non-electric clunky machine that I just knew I wasn't going to be able to handle. Managed 40min on it, but didn't attempt it again after my ankle was sore the next day. Because Club Med is all inclusive, I ate everything in sight, although I can really tell how much I have been educated on the WW plan. I ate too much, but still chose wisely, and salad was an option I enjoyed often too. I always loaded up on desserts because I wanted to try them, but I think I only ate a full dessert twice the whole time. The food was just glorious, especially the Indonesian cuisine. YUM!

Drinking was out of control - cocktails, Baileys, vodkas, wine! You name it, I drank it all day long!!!

Will post some more photos of Bali soon!!

Back to earth with a clunk today. Weigh in saw a gain of 4.6kgs!! OUCH! Honestly wasn't expecting it to be that much, but I have no regrets about my holiday at all. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and cannot wait until the next Club Med holiday. Hubby & I are thinking of going back to Club Med Bali next year without the kids to celebrate our 40th Birthdays, which fall only 6 weeks apart. Sounds like a good plan to me!!!

So, I am now weighing 106.7kgs. Double ouch! I weighed this back at the beginning of Dec last year. That 100kgs goal was sooooo close, and now I have quite a few weeks until I will see it! Must admit, I put on most of that 4.6kgs in the week & half before we left for Bali, when we fell into "holiday mode". I think in Bali we sweated so much with the humidity, and did a lot of swimming & walking, so the damage wasn't that terrible. Half of that gain would be from my bad eating in Oz - have I learned nothing?!?!? However, we have some friends getting married in 9 weeks time, so I am setting myself the goal of getting to 95kgs by the wedding, and plan on getting something new to wear. So, the plan is to exercise like a trojan, get off the booze & chocolate, and stay motivated!!!

Goal weight, here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Another Thing....

2 posts in 1 day! Quite an achievement! haha! But I was just having a look at my blog, and looking at the ticker at the top of the page that is counting down my weightloss, and can I just say (yes, blowing my own trumpet!) that I think it is bloody awesome that I am so close to 100kgs! AND it's bloody amazing I have lost over 30kgs! I just want to remind myself of all this, to make sure I understand that wine & snacking will not get me anywhere & not help me achieve my goals!!!

I have made a list of some of things I want to get done when I lose some more weight.
  1. Tattoo removal - I have a little tattoo on my good ankle that is just horrible, and something I regretted I think from the day I had it done. It is one of 3 tattoos I have, but the others are not in such an obvious place (one on my bikini line, and one on my back). I have already enquired about this removal, and it is something I want to reward myself with when I get under 100kgs.
  2. Varicose vein removal - I have a large varicose vein that appeared not long after my car accident in my bad leg. My physio states it is from bad blood supply in that leg (and unfortunately varicose veins are hereditary, and my Mum has them!). It runs from the top front of my thigh and winds it way down my leg to my ankle. VERY big & unsightly & actually aches when I exercise. So when I lose another 20 or so kilos, I want it GONE!!
  3. Spider Vein Treatment - I have some small spider veins on my legs. Not much of a bother, but I want them gone as well.
  4. Boobs & maybe Tummy Tuck - I have always had very big boobs, and after breastfeeding 4 babies, gravity has taken hold! I want them reduced & lifted - Ahhhh, can't imagine how good that would look/feel!!! And depending on what my old tummy looks like in another 20-30kgs, I may get a tummy tuck done at the same time.

Okay, that's all for now. I am sure I will be adding to this list as I get smaller & I notice things wobbling, wrinkling, jiggling.......

A Post to Remind Me NOT TO DRINK!!

I am sitting here, with an upset tummy, a headache & exhaustion! Too many wines last night, and I want to remember this feeling, so I don't do it again! I don't know why I thought it was a good idea, but I poured a glass of wine with dinner, and then continued with the wine until I went to bed about 11pm. And as usual when I have been drinking, I had a shocking sleep! I was up from 3am til 4.30am, mainly just stressing about the flight to Bali (I have terrible anxiety about flying), and I just could not get back to sleep!!!
Won't go into the snacking that accompanied the wine. I will work that off in the next couple of days on the xtrainer. Just want to make sure I don't bother with wine again until Bali (well, cocktails in Bali anyway!!).
Onwards & downwards (with no more headaches!).......

100gms Loss. Dismal. Disappointing.

I deserve it! Only 100gms lost this week. Much better than a gain, and I should be thankful that I did not gain after my pigout on Monday night. BUT disappointing all the same!
Anyway, going to keep off the booze this week as much as possible. Not going to snack after dinner, and going to TRY and keep within my 33 daily propoints! This is my biggest challenge as I usually eat ALL my exercise points, and my weekly allowance as well.
Anyway, only 10 sleeps to Bali, and I want to work hard before I go, as I sure as hell know I am going to be eating & drinking everything in sight when I am there! CANNOT WAIT!!

Febfast Success!!!

I honestly cannot believe I have done it! I have lasted 28 days without a drop of alcohol passing my lips! And it was so much easier than I could ever have imagined!
In the process, I have raised $370 for the Australian Drug & Alcohol Foundation! VERY proud of myself!!!
The funny thing was that I stayed up to Midnight on Feb 28th, just to have a couple of wines & vodkas! The next morning I paid for it - absolutely shattered from lack of sleep & a headache to boot. Think I will pass on the booze now until we head off to Bali in 11 sleeps!!
Speaking of which, Monday night (before staying up for the drinks!), I had a lapse in my thinking process. For some reason, whilst doing the dishes after dinner, I thought "holiday time - stuff it", and then proceeded to eat about 30ppts worth of cookies, chocolate biscuits & chips! This happens all the time with me when I am about to go on holidays. I go into "holiday mode" and have them mindset that I am going to gain weight anyway, so why not just give up a couple of weeks beforehand anyway! VERY frustrating! I am totally over my points now for this week, and my scales are showing a kilo gain! I am hoping to hell that I can undo the damage on the xtrainer, but if not, I am dreading slipping under that 30kg goal I achieved last week! FINGERS CROSSED for WI tomorrow!!!

I Did It!!! 30kgs Gone!!

YAY! I did it! Loss of 1.2kgs this week, brings my total weightloss to 30.5kgs! I just can't believe it!! It seems so surreal to be able to say "I've lost 30kgs!". As someone mentioned to me, it's the equivalent of 2 toddlers!!! Just amazing!
I absolutely exercised like a mad woman this week. Most days I did between 75-90 minutes on the xtrainer. And at the end of the week, I still had my 49pts from my weekly stash left over. I do however, still eat all my exercise points, and that is what I think is the beauty of the WW program. If you work for it, then you can have the extra points! Just LOVE it!!!
So only 18 sleeps now until Bali. And I am starting to panic about the amount of weight I will gain at Club Med with unlimited food & alcohol on offer. I really have to make myself get to the gym each morning for an hour on the xtrainer. If I can do that, then I will be so proud of myself! The problem is, I am already doubting myself in my ability to be strong enough to do it! Ho Hum! What will be, will be, and I will just work my arse off when I get home to minimise the damage done! I still have to enjoy myself afterall!
Only 4 days of Febfast left. Have so far raised an amount of $170 for charity, which is fantastic! Can't believe how easy I have found giving up the booze! At least I now know I can do it easily when I want to!
Now, onto my next goal of getting into double digits! Only 2.3kgs to lose, and how I would love to do that before Bali! Here's to another great week! Onwards & downwards..........

Nearly There!!!!

Oh, so bloody close!!! Loss of 1kg this week, which brings me only 700gms away from my 30kg goal!!! God, I better get there next week or I will be devastated!!!
This week has been a good week. I've still gone over my points every day & eaten my exercise points. I still had over 20 points left in the weekly stash last night, which is good. I think I would have better weight loss if I didn't eat all my exercise points, but I love my food too much!
Day 17 of Febfast, and to tell the honest to God truth, I haven't missed wine at all! Don't get me wrong, I will be definitely having a wine on March 1st, but I am just surprised at how easily I have been able to give it up. Not once have I thought I would fail in doing this challenge! I'm quite impressed with myself!
We were given the mother of all zucchinis this week, and I have been baking like a mad woman - zucchini cakes & zucchini slice, and zucchini has been hidden in all our meals! I love zucchini, but it is something the rest of the family are not fond of, so I have had to disguise it. The zucchini pasta sauce was a huge success, and something I will definitely be repeating!

Looking forward to another week of hard work on the xtrainer to reach my goal!

Day 10 of Febfast!

Cannot believe I have reached 10 days without alcohol!! Amazing! I really thought it would be a struggle, but I have found it so easy & not tempted in the slightest! Only 18 more days to go, and then I am going to celebrate with a nice bottle of wine!
Had a loss of 600gms this week. And would just like to say.... NOT HAPPY JAN! I have been bloody perfect all week! Exercised every day, tracked every morsel, not touched alcohol, and to have such a little result is really disappointing! Was really hoping for a big one to get me closer to that 30kg goal!!!
As hubby says, my body is changing & maybe I am building up a little muscle too from all my hours on the xtrainer. I guess this may be true, but it just seems I have been chasing this 30kgs for AGES! Will try & get there next week or the week after for sure!

40kgs to Go!!

Fantastic loss of 1.4kgs for me this week! WHOOO HOOOO!! Better than I expected after my big night out on Saturday night. I now have only 40kgs EXACTLY to lose until goal - that sounds so much better than 67+kgs to go!!
It is day 3 of Febfast, and I know I am going to be able to last the whole month. It's even "naughty Thursday" today & I don't care that I am not going to have a wine! I just keep thinking of how good my losses are going to be without wine & the snacking that accompanies it! It is the one thing that blows my points out the water every week!
Only 2.3kgs to hit my 30kgs goal, and only 5.1kgs til I am in double digits. 5 weeks until Bali, and I am going to make sure I reach both of those goals before then!!!
My WW leader has left our meeting. She was absolutely fantastic, and I loved her so much!!! The new leader is a first timer, and a bit quiet & nervous today when she took the meeting. I felt for her, as I know how hard it must be to be speaking up in front of everyone for the first time! However, I just know she will be inspirational to me - she has lost 62kgs to get to her goal - so I will be reminded every time I see her, that if SHE can do it, then I can do it too!!!

Weekly ProPoints Totals (27 Jan - 2 Feb 2011)

Daily Points of 34, Weekly Stash of 49pts

Thursday 27/1 - 42pts used (19pts exercise earned) Had a good day points-wise, but fell victim to my beloved Hot Cross Buns! Oh, how I love them with melted, dripping butter... yum yum!
Friday 28/1 - 48pts (18pts exercise earned) Pizza for dinner, and oh, how yuk I felt after 3 pieces of it. It's so hard to track pizza on WW, so I always overestimate - tonight I tracked 20pt for it, which is probably well over what it was worth, but anyway, just to be sure I'll keep it at that! 65min on the xtrainer & a 3 hour walk around Melbourne Zoo was enough exercise for me today!!
Saturday 29/1 - 109pts (16pts exercise earned) Had a huge night out so made sure I had lots of points saved up, both weekly stash & exercise earned. Too many bottles of wine consumed (5 in total I think), but very proud of how I did eating out - stuck to seafood & vegies!! Have decided to participate in Febfast - no drinking for me for a whole 28 days! AND I am going to do it!!!
Sunday 30/1 - 45pts (20pts exercise earned) Hung over today and it was a HOT 40 deg Melbourne day! Still managed 75min on the xtrainer, although I had to do it in intervals due the heat! Would have stayed under points if my mother didn't bring around a quiche, of which I had a slice!! First accident with the xtrainer - Aidan dropped something & got caught under the pedal as I pushed down. Lots of tears & a nice bruise! Very lucky it wasn't something more serious!!! Knew there was a reason I had a fire screen around it, and of course, today was the day I didn't place it correctly to cover the moving parts!!!
Monday 31 /1 - 68pts (16pts exercise earned) Went over my points with a bottle of champers, since I am starting Febfast tomorrow! Wanted one last drink before I was dry for 28 days!!!
Tuesday 1/2 - 37pts (16pts exercise earned) NEARLY stayed within points, but overdid it at lunch time, because I forgot to eat brekkie!
Wednesday 2/2 - 42pts (16pts exercise earned) Maybe I just have to accept that I am going to go over my points daily & eat some of my extra points. I guess that is what they are there for, and when I am exercising, I guess I am entitled to eat those extra points too. Still have 17pts remaining of my weekly stash, so very happy with that!!!

A Decent Loss

Loss of 1.1kgs for me today. Was a quite a surprise that I lost so much, as I wasn't expecting it after my blowouts, especially the one yesterday. I only have 500gms to lose now to get back to my pre Christmas weight. Was hoping to get there this week, but will definitely get there next week, and then will aim for the next goal of "30kgs lost", and then that extremely ellusive goal (the one I have been dreaming about for so long!) of getting into double digits under 100kgs! I want to be there before we leave for Bali in 6 weeks time!!!!
Could not put into words my disappointment with myself this morning when I woke up. I had busted my arse all week on the xtrainer, and then to stuff all my efforts up the day before weigh in is just ridiculous! I just cannot think of a reasonable explanation for it, other than I am just too weak when it comes to wine. So I must stay away from it - just stick to planned days when I know I am going to drink, and not be tempted at any other time. Geeze, I sound like a right alcoholic, but it is not the alcohol that is the problem, it's the snacking I do when I drink - almost like a dope smoker who gets the munchies - I get the uncontrollable munchies when I drink!
Anyway, we are planning a big night on Saturday night. It's a friend's 40th Birthday & he has decided go to a bar in the city, so we are having dinner there & staying on for a band later on. My parents are minding our kids, so we are planning a nice grown up night out! Really looking forward to it, and will make sure I have all my weekly stash + extra exercise points to cover the drinking on that night!
Will get some updated photos done this week also for my blog. Need a progress shot taken to see the difference. We were looking at our last overseas holiday photos yesterday, and I was astonished at the size of myself. My daughter announced "Mum, look how fat you are in those pictures! Gee you've lost a lot of weight". Was nice to hear!

Weekly ProPoints Totals (20-26 Jan 2011)

My Daily points are 34, with a bonus weekly stash of 49pts. Would love to be able to have my weekly stash still at 49pts by the end of the week, and only use up my exercise points for when I need more than 34pts a day!

Thursday 20/1 - 81pts used (16pts exercise earned) Major blow out again with bloody wine & potato chips!!!
Friday 21/1 - 41pts used (25pts exercise earned) Had a good day, but went over points whilst baking cupcakes (had to try them out of course!!). Did 90min on the xtrainer & felt fantastic!!!
Saturday 22/1 - 78pts used (14pts exercise earned) Had a party to attend that started at 5.30pm (dinner time) but was good & only snacked on a few things, even though there was not one thing available that was healthy & low fat! Drove & drank water all night, but when we got home, I once again had wine & snacks! ARGH!!!
Sunday 23/1 - 46pts used (16pts exercise earned) Had some ice cream cake today that I worked out later to be about 13pts!! Ouch! Would have been under points for the day if it hadn't been for that! Really struggled on the xtrainer, but still did an hour - think I may have overdone on it on Friday night with the 90min workout!
Monday 24/1 - 35pts used (16pts exercise earned) Had a lovely day at home with delicious Spicy Lamb Gozleme for dinner. Recipe was in Jan 2011 WW magazine. The kids loved it so much they want it for dinner tomorrow night! Struggled again on the xtrainer but still did 60min.
Tuesday 25/1 - 57pts used (12pts exercise earned) Hubby & I went & saw Billy Connolly at the Arts Centre - was fantastic. But we were early, so enjoyed our "grown up" time alone with a couple of wines, that unfortunately continued when we got home, so once again I blew my points!
Wednesday 26/1 - 92pts used (19pts exercise earned) WTF am I doing?? I am so bloody pissed off & annoyed with myself. Had a fantastic day, still had 20+ weekly points in my stash, so was really proud of myself! Then we called into my parents place & had a couple of champers & lamingtons with cream for Australia Day! But of course, I then had the taste for it, so the wine drinking continued when we got home & of course, so did a lot of snacking! Why the hell do I keep sabotaging myself?!!? I cannot even put into words how annoyed I am with myself!

Blowouts!

I hd 3 days of blowouts this week. The usual "naughty Thursday" blowout, but then again on Monday & then last night - the night before weigh in!! What the hell was I thinking?!? I's bad enough once a week (and I can make up for the blowout in the days to come with exercise) but why the hell did I do it again TWICE?!?!
However, I still had a loss of 1kg today, which was good, but undeserving. And that kilo was probably all that extra milk I have been carrying, as my boobs seemed to have settled down a lot since last week!? All I know is I am kicking myself, cause I reckon I would have had a big loss if I had of stuck on track all week. I worked my butt off on the xtrainer every day this last week!!
Anyway, TODAY is a new day, and I am going to stay on track ALL this week! I need to lose another 1.6kgs to get to my pre Christmas weight, and then I want to get to under 100kgs before we leave for Bali in 7 weeks. I can do it! I WILL do it!
I am going to get back to posting my daily points totals. Keeps me accountable & makes me think twice about blowing out.

A Big Gain :(

A gain of 2.6kgs this week. Was definitely not expecting that much, so am slightly disappointed. However, I should be proud of the fact that I only gained that little bit over a 4 week period of not following the WW plan or exercising! I am guessing that at least a kilo (or even more) is from these enormous boobs full of milk, so will expect better results as the milk dries up - if only that would be sooner rather than later!
Anyway, today is Day 4 of being back on track. Feeling really good about WW & staying focused. Planning on continuing the week how I have started, and hopefully make a big dent in that 2.6kg gain!!!

I'm Baaaccckkk!! Christmas, Wine & Weaning...

Wow, can't believe how quickly 4 weeks have passed since my last weigh in at WW & my last blog posting! So much has happened! Where do I begin?
Firstly, went straight into holiday mode once I realised I wouldn't be venturing to WW until after Christmas! Did someone say wine? chocolate? ice cream? chips? Well, truthfully, I wasn't all that bad, but I didn't count my points or watch what I ate, and exercise, well, that went out the window! It was just too busy in the build up to Christmas!
Paige turned 8 a couple of days before Christmas, and we celebrated with a family dinner out at a gourmet pizza restaurant (her choice!). Then Christmas was upon us, and we had a brilliant Christmas eve with my side of the family. A huge dinner at my parents house, just around the corner (walking distance home after many wines!). Christmas Day was at my in laws in Geelong. And then Boxing Day we headed away to our van in Cobram for 9 nights. Was a lovely time, although the mosquitoes were unbelievable!!! Hubby had to work, so wasn't there the whole time which I found to be a bit of a challenge from time to time, but luckily my parents were there in their caravan nearby.
Anyway, lots of wine consumed, and too many nibblies. Mainly potato chips being my downfall. The kids don't often have them at home, so it's seen as a treat when we are away.
Tried weaning Aidan when we got to Cobram. Told him he couldn't have "boobies" when we were there. Worked for a couple of days, but the screaming at 5am, 6am & 7am wasn't enjoyable for the patrons of a caravan park (or our family!), so back on the boob he went. However, when we got home, it was all over - no boobies at home I told him, and it has now been 8 days since he has had a breastfeed! What a big boy! He moped for a few days, constantly asked for boobies & to go back to the caravan for boobies, but I was strong & didn't give in. Have been asked by many if I am feeling sad, but to tell the truth, I am only a little bit. I was really over it, and not enjoying it. He's such a cuddler, so it's still nice that he wants to cuddle me all the time, which is just the emotional attachment I think he needs.
Anyway, in a little bit of pain with extremely full breasts of milk. Have just expressed a little for the first time in the shower tonight as it was uncomfortable. Seems to be the worst after I drink a lot of water on the xtrainer at night. They are so full & really heavy, so I am guessing it will contribute to any weight gain I have at weigh in tomorrow!
Really struggled to get back into it when I returned to Cobram. Was still in holiday mode, and enjoying my nightly wine & snacking with hubby. Had a big drink up on Sunday night, which I think helped things "click" in my head, and have been back on the wagon since Monday, with daily exercise of 60+ minutes on the xtrainer.
First weigh in back at Weight Watchers tomorrow morning, and I am expecting about a 2kg gain. I think at least a kilo of this must be due to these enormous full boobs, but the rest is from the last 4 weeks of being off track.
We have 9 weeks til we go on holiday to Club Med in Bali. Cannot wait, but disappointed that we didn't book it later in the year when I had lost more weight. Going to really try & get down to at least 95kgs by then. A big ask, but as always, I like setting goals that are hard for me to achieve, it gives me more drive!
Will report in tomorrow with details of my gain. Will not be happy if it is a lot more than 2kgs!!

A Massive Pig Out!

Let's just say that I absolutely lost the plot on Sunday! Don't know how else to phrase it or explain it, but I just wanted to eat everything and anything I could get my hands on! Lots of wine was consumed, as were potato chips, chocolate (massive blocks of it, mind you!), ice cream, and anything else that was in sight!!! And although I look back on it now & think "what the hell was I thinking?", I thoroughly enjoyed it, and think I needed it. It was nice to let my hair down & be absolutely & utterly naughty!!!
However, Monday morning I had gained over 2kgs! I have never worked my arse off like I have the last 2 days. Got on that bloody xtrainer until my legs started cramping on Monday night - managed 100 minutes on it though (and to think back to those days when I struggled to do 3 minutes!!!). Tuesday did an hour, and yesterday 75min, and today I am absolutely over the moon & stoked to report I had a loss of 100gms!!! I just can't believe it! I was totally prepared for a gain, and really deserved one, but it just shows how my hard work the last 3 days has paid off! Totally amazing! And definitely not something I will be repeating in a hurry!
Anyway, it's been a busy week with the kids sick (now better), ballet concerts (last night & tonight) for Owen & Paige, and the last day of school for the 2 big kids today! YAY for the school holidays - LOVE having my babies home!!!

41kgs to Go!

Gosh, that seems like a lot, doesn't it? Well, really it doesn't to me! I had 67+kgs to lose when I started on this WW journey, and now I have whittled it down to 41kgs! It's bloody amazing, and I just know with all my heart & soul that I will reach my goal.
A loss of 700gms this week brings me to the weight of 106kgs. I so desperately wanted to be under 100kgs by the New Year, but now know this isn't going to happen. Maybe I will reach that goal on my home scales, as I weighed in at 104.8kgs this morning - I suppose I could possibly reach that goal for myself. Would also be nice to reach the 30kgs lost goal - only 3.3kgs to lose, which is VERY possible. Think I might go for that.
But of course, it is the Silly Season. So, there will be many nights of eating out & drinking lots. Could be difficult, but it is all just part of my life, and if I don't reach those goals I have set, I know I will get there after Christmas & the holidays. My life will not end! I'll get there eventually!
Yesterday we got our new xtrainer! The old one (only a year old, mind you) kept squeaking, and the technician could just not fix it, so they got us a brand spanking new one. The old one was like an old Datsun, the new one is like a brand new Porsche! Just devine & so smoooth & QUIET! Just in love with it! Funny how I used to read my WW magazines & see how many have written they are addicted to exercise & love it. I used to think "what a load of shit!". But I am over the moon to say, I lurvvvvveeee it! Mind you, I don't love every exercise, in fact, I don't like most exercise, but I do love my xtrainer! It's hard work, but it doesn't impact much on my ankle, and I actually enjoy it!!! Wonders never cease!
Anyway, back to my loss this week of 700gms. I had expected a bigger loss, because I really had worked my bum off this week! I do have TTOM so that may contribute to not such a big loss. But the other thing is, why am I ALWAYS disappointed in my losses? Doesn't matter how much I lose (even if it is 2kgs+), I always think I could have done better. I just don't know how to change my way of thinking to "great loss", "fantastic effort", from "you could have done better" or "your loss should have been bigger". Something I am definitely going to have to work on!
Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease has hit our household, with both the little boys affected by it. Hoping the big ones have already been exposed to it when they were little & it passes them by! I am just so exhausted with looking after sick & grumpy kids!

26kgs Gone - Whoo Hooo!!

A loss of 1.3kgs this week, bringing my total loss to 26kgs exactly! WOW! I am just so proud & amazed of myself! It's the most I have ever lost on Weight Watchers.
To be honest, I thought I would have lost a bit more going from the result on my home scales, so I was a tad disappointed - gee, I'm so greedy aren't I! But after the stuff up last week, I would have been stoked with a 2kg loss this week! Ah, never mind - I'll take any loss I can get.
So, I am weighing in at 106.7kgs and there are only 3 weigh ins left before Christmas & before I go away on holidays. I guess I have to face the fact that I will not make it to my goal of under 100kgs before the start of the new year. Although I could attempt to hit that mark on my homes scales, where I weighed in at 105.5kgs this morning (in the nudie rudie & before brekkie & coffees that is!). I'd be happy with that for sure!!
Just have to keep doing what I am doing - water, fruit, exercising, tracking... really enjoying it indeed. Have not felt it is a "diet" at all. Although, the ONE thing I am really missing is my glass of wine at night! Oh, how I look forward to Thursday nights & my wine!
Anyway, the silly season is upon us, and I have to just keep being vigilant with what goes in my mouth! God, I love Christmas time! Just a magical time to be a Mum!!!

Fat Pants

I had a wardrobe cleanout today & got rid of a heap of fat clothes. Sorted them into 3 lots - bin, Op Shop & eBay. The items I am going to sell on eBay are formal wear that are in excellent condition, so I may as well get some money for them so I can buy some new clothes!!!
Felt so great to try on these clothes & realise that I just couldn't get away with wearing them anymore. Pictured are my Size 26 pants I wore at the beginning of my WW journey - and they were too tight on me!!! Aidan was able to fit comfortably in them with me. I look forward to when I'll be able to get the older kids to fit into them with me!!!
Oh, please excuse the bad hair - had just had a shower & not combed it yet!!!

Major Stuff Up on ProPoints :(

Well, I discovered on Monday that I had been allocated too many bloody points on ProPoints. I was given an extra 14pts because I am still breastfeeding. When I weighed myself Monday morning on my home scales it was showing a 2kg gain! WTF?!?! Perplexed? YEP! I just didn't understand what was going on! Sure, I had a few wines on the weekend, but it was all accounted for in my exercise points & my extra weekly bonus points, so I was 100% sure I hadn't done anything wrong. Later that morning I checked the Weight Watchers site & noticed someone had posted some info about breastfeeding points. Apparently you get 14pts for fully breastfeeding, and only 7pts for part time breastfeeding, ie. feeding a child that is not fully breastfed! WELL, I adjusted my points to the correct amount for the week, and I then had a deficit of points! Soooooo not happy!!! However, I worked my arse off the next 2 days to try & set things right, and at weigh in today, I had a gain of 100gms. Better than the 2kgs from a few days ago, but still not happy considering I followed the plan!
Explained the situation to my WW leader Liz (she is just fantastic!), and she was unaware of the points situation (ie. 14pts Vs 7pts), so got out her literature, and sure enough, I was allocated the wrong points. Ho Hum!
Will ensure I follow the plan 100% this week to make up for this gain. Only a tiny gain, but still a hump in my road to get to that illusive Under 100kgs goal!
Must admit I am really feeling great about myself & liking what I see in the mirror! Although I am still enormous by my standards, I can REALLY notice the difference, and I find it just amazing to see my reflection shrinking in the mirror! My family & friends have been so wonderful with their encouragement - it's so lovely to have so much support!
Something I have been thinking a lot about lately is flabby skin. I have a friend who has lost over 40kgs with lapband surgery (and no exercise or eating properly), and she is looking at having surgery cause she has flabby skin all over. It is something I have been thinking about, and when I was 10kgs or so heavier, I did notice my thighs were becoming extremely flabby with loose skin as I lost weight. However, over the last few months, it has disappeared! It's just amazing, but obviously the hard work I am putting in on the xtrainer is toning up the flab! As I get smaller, I am going to start working on my tummy with sit ups or some sort of other ab exercise, and I have just started doing some light weights to tone up my "bingo wings" on my arms. When I reach goal weight I do plan on having a breast reduction & lift, and would say I would also need a tummy tuck, cause after 4 babies, I just don't see how I could ever achieve a flat tummy, even with exercise. However, we shall wait & see. I know I will get to goal, I'm just so impatient to get there!! The future is so exciting!
Will take some pics this week to show you how I am going!

Yeah Baby! ProPoints is here!!!

The new WW program "ProPoints" started this week & I am loving it. Don't think I have ever eaten so much fruit in my life!!! It definitely makes me think twice about all my food choices.

I'm happy to report a loss of 1.2kgs this week. Soooooo damn close to that 25kgs goal - only 200gs away! Next week I will be sure to blitz it in!

So, will keep plodding along. I am doing everything right, so don't need to "tweak" anything. Will just keep an eye on the ProPoints tracking as everything is different, so want to keep in control of what I am eating.

A Saturday Afternoon Shopping Expedition

I went shopping for some clothes yesterday. Just felt I needed a few items, as I am currently living in trackies that are becoming to big for me. I find it hard to buy clothes in the warmer months, because the pants are all generally 3/4 length, and I need something a bit longer cause I don't want to show off my deformed ankle. I have not given a stuff about it in the past, but I just can't seem to ignore the glances from people at my ankles - one enormous deformed one, and the other normal!!
So, I dragged my daughter along with me, to my local TS Store (TS= Taking Shape for sizes 14+). Love this store, and have bought a lot from there, although they are extremely pricey! Grabbed about 14 items off the rack, all in size 24 or XL, which is my usual size. What a shock it was to me that I had to ask for smaller sizes, and then once those garments were tried on, I had to go even smaller! And in the pants, I had to go even smaller again!!! I have jumped 1-2 dress sizes in tops (damn these big boobs or I would be smaller!!) & 2-3 sizes in the pants! YAYYYYY!!! It just then dawned on me how far I have come! Honestly, nothing could give me greater motivation than seeing my reflection in that dressing room mirror in those smaller clothes!! And of course, I bought 5 items of clothing to reward myself for my hard work! I think I will be on a high from that moment for a few more days to come!
Cannot wait to go shopping again after losing another 20kgs! How exciting that will be!!!

Whoop Whoop!

2.2kgs gone this week!! Whooo hooooo!! I am so goddamn happy I could dance! I am feeling fantastic & KNOW I can do this!
AND I am under 110kgs!!! I now weigh 109.1kgs...... only 9.2kgs and I will be in double digits! Geez, I cannot imagine what it will be like to weigh in under 100kgs - I just cannot wait!!!!
Sure, I didn't live up to some of my goals for last week - didn't post my daily points on my blog & didn't go over my points some days. But I ate out a lot the last week, so I "guesstimated" a lot of the time, and I always over compensate. I tried exercising on the treadmill, but my ankle did not hold up on it, and I've been in a bit of pain this week. However, the xtrainer was FINALLY fixed yesterday, so we're back in action! Yahooooo!!!
On a mission for a big loss this week - need 1.4kg to reach my 25kg goal. I can do it. Had some lemon tart today, and going to have some wines tonight (it's naughty Thursday after all!) but going to be 100% on track the rest of the week. It's my last week on the WW points system, as next week they are introducing "Pro Points", which looks interesting. I'm in 2 minds about the change - excited, cause it is supposed to be an excellent program, but disappointed that I am doing so well on Points, and now they change it, and all my recipe books, point calculators, etc will be useless to me! Not happy Jan!!
Had lots of compliments today about the way I am looking - always a great help with the motivation!!! Thanks girls xx

Ho Hum....

Loss of 1.4kgs this week. I know I should be happy. I worked my arse off for a good loss. But I am disappointed. I had a gain of 1.4kgs last week & this week I wanted to lose that & more. Yes, I know I am being silly. REALLY silly, but I can't help the way I feel.
ANYWAY, have been on the phone & email this morning to make sure I get the tech out to fix the xtrainer ASAP. Just waiting for him to call to make a time with me - GOD it better be this week, but I know it won't be. It always takes him about a week to come out. So, I guess I will try getting some exercise done on the bloody boring treadmill. The only problem is that my feet & ankle don't handle exercise very well. I have been exercising in a pair of slippers or barefoot on the xtrainer, which suits my feet & ankle very well, but I will have to wear runners on the treadie, and they kill me after about 5mins. Might have to do some bike riding in the next few days instead?
Goals for this week beside my usual tracking, water & exercise, which are all fantastic -
  • Stay well under my 30pts
  • Wine ONE night this week
  • Will not eat any exercise points!

This Week's Points Totals

Thursday - 51.5pts (+ 1 bonus exercise pt) Okay, so I had a major meltdown/blowout! Ate & drank everything in my sight! I think I needed to get it out of my system & I'm glad the pack of Mini Mars Bars are now out of the house (in my tummy!!) Back on track tomorrow!
Friday - 40pts (+ 12 bonus exercise pts) Yep, blew the points again, but it was all due to the fact I REALLY needed to have a couple of wines! Made sure I did a heap of exercise first though to make up for it! No more wine for the week now & no more going over points!!
Saturday - 29.5pts (+ 13 bonus exercise pts) Whoop whoop, a big pat on the back for me!! I am under points for the day, and hubby is currently pouring himself a nice cold glass of wine, but I AM strong, and I am going to bed to read a book!
Sunday - 34pts ( + 9 bonus exercise pts) Bugger, went over again! Too many Halloween lollies & chocolates, and a bottle of champers shared with the hubby!! Made the effort to get on the xtrainer at 9pm though to make up the points with exercise! Have decided to not worry about weaning Aidan! I am always so worried about what others say & how they scoff about the fact I am still feeding a toddler! Well f*ck them (hmmm, I say that, but I really do worry about what others say!!). Anyway, I feel he is beginning to wean himself, and is only having 3 feeds a day, so I will just let it be for the time being & see how he goes.
Monday - 37pts ( + 9 Bonus exercise pts) Bloody hell, went over again! What is wrong with me??!?! I really need to get my act together, especially as I will be losing 7pts soon when Aidan is weaned! Speaking of which, he only had 2 feeds today - totally missed the midday feed. What a good little boy, weaning himself!!! Anyway, Hubby's birthday today & I made a chocolate cake for him, and some vanilla cupcakes for a Melbourne Cup Day BBQ we are going to tomorrow. Of course I had to have a little bit of Birthday cake with ice cream (7pts), and shortly we will be having some MORE champers (3.5pts), and with all the tasting I did of the icing when I was making it, I added another 4pts to my total, just to be safe. I am so religious about tracking every morsel that enters my mouth, which I think is a great habit to have. And with my exercise & water intake excellent, I should be able to go great guns, so just have to make sure I stay under my 30pts (soon to be 23pts!!!) REALLY want a big loss this week!
Tuesday - 41.5pts ( + 13 bonus exercise pts) Melbourne Cup Day here, and we had a BBQ with some friends. They had a huge antipasto platter (my favourite!!), but I only had a couple of things & steered clear of the cheeses & dips. Had a burger & a snag in bread (OMG to die for - I love BBQ snags!), and salad. Took my water bottle which I kept refilling. Must be the first time I have not been drunk on Cup Day (besides the times I was pregnant!), and I must say, I really missed the occasion. Cup Day & Grand Final day are the two big days I like to let me hair down! Anyway, I have overestimated my points for the day, so although I am over by a lot, I am not too fussed, as I made up for it with exercise. LOVING my xtrainer!!!
Wednesday -30.5pts ( + 10 Bonus Exercise Pts) Have been starving today, and just wanted to eat rubbish - and have absolutely no idea why. Indulged in some lollies & Freddo Frogs! With my zero point vegie soup for dinner I managed to keep my points down, but have no idea what the hell I was doing, especially the day before weigh in!!! And to put a further dampener on things, I got to 49mins on the xtrainer & the bloody belt broke! What the f&ck am I going to do without it until the service guy can get here, which I bet is not until next week! ARGHHHH!!!

:-( Absolutely Shattered!!

Have had a massive gain of 1.4kgs this week. And I am absolutely devestated! What the f*&% went so wrong? I did have a bad weekend, but not THAT bad, and I worked my arse off the last three days to make up for it. Perhaps it could be a combination of not exercising the last week whilst sick, and reducing Aidan's breastfeeds in an attempt to wean him!? Not quite sure what has gone on, but I am not going to wallow in it - I am going to kick arse with a massive weight loss this week!!!
Things to keep on top of this week & moving forward....
  • Keep under my daily 30pts, and start lowering my points as Aidan drops feeds
  • Post my daily points here on my blog to keep my accountable
  • Must not eat my bonus exercise points to increase my weekly weight loss

I've Lost My 7 Year Old Daughter!!!!

A loss of 700gms this week. Not bad after a huge blow out on the weekend (on Saturday I ate & drank about 70pts worth!!), and not much exercise. I have come down with a terrible head cold, and have been unable to exercise the last few days because of it. I tried exercising on Tuesday, and ended up throwing up after a huge coughing fit.... lovely! I gave myself a bit of a break from blogging as I have just been feeling so bloody crap!
Anyway, a total of 21.4kgs gone now, which is about the weight of my 7yo daughter. I am absolutely amazed when I struggle to lift her up to think that is how much heavier I was!! I cannot wait until I have lost my 9yo son who is about 38kgs!!!
As I walked by the computer last night, I saw this photo come up on our photo screen saver. It's in December 2004 at my daughter's 2nd Birthday party. I was so shocked to see it - I honestly never realised I was so huge! It just got me thinking of how far I have come in the last few months, and how my how mental outlook has changed in regards to my health & weight loss. I think of all the crap I have tried in my lifetime to control my weight - Jenny Craig, diet shakes, no carbs diets, Dietitians, Lite & Easy, the list goes on.... - and the ONLY thing that really truly works, and educates you for your lifetime is Weight Watchers! It's just such a fantastic program!!
Every few weeks/months I seem to really notice a change in the clothes I am wearing & how loose everything is becoming. I am having one of those days today where I can really notice the difference in my tummy & legs. I love these days - makes all the hard work worthwhile!

20kgs Gone Forever!!! I did it!!

A great loss of 1.4kgs this week - much better than expected! I am so happy now to have lost 20.7kgs!!! Whoop Whoop!! Absolutely stoked!!!
So, I am currently 112kgs exactly with 47kgs to go to goal! Going to just concentrate on the next 12kgs though, as I soooooo desperately want to be under 100kgs! I think it will feel almost like a "normal" person to be in double digits! Going to work my butt off to try & get there by Christmas - it's a big ask, but I might as well reach for the stars!
The last time I weighed 112kgs was before I fell pregnant with Owen & I had lost over 20kgs on WW, and here I am again!
This week, Hubby & I have a "date" out at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. We're going there for lunch, and then on the casino for a bit of drinking & gambling. Expecting to eat lots of fatty & rich dishes for lunch, with lots of wine to wash it down, so will be super vigilent on the exercising front this week! Cannot wait!

Weekly Points Tally

Thursday - 43pts + 6 Bonus Exercise pts ARGH! Indulged in too much wine & Hommus dip today!!! Went over by 7pts, but am determined to make up for it tomorrow!
Friday - 34pts + 12 Bonus Exercise Pts ARGH again! Didn't want to go over my points, but alas, a busy day out & about & a couple of bad food choices. Worked my arse off on the elliptical though, so now have made up for the blowout yesterday! Loving WW & how you can still have your bad days, but just need to find a healthy balance. It's so nice not to be on a diet!!!
Saturday - 34pts + 4 Bonus Exercise Pts Went to a 3rd Birthday party today & made great food choices, but have allocated a massive 15pts for my lunch just because I don't know what the ingredients were. I have definitely over estimated, but better to be safe than sorry!!! Didn't manage much exercise because I am bloody exhausted & need an early night!
Sunday - 42.5pts No exercise today & totally blew my points with wine! We had a gorgeous picnic in the park in the city today with a group of old workmates (Hubby & I were a workplace romance!). Was a sensational day with lots of sunshine! However, when I got home, I really wanted a wine, and then of course after a bottle of wine, exercise was out the window!!!
Monday - 30pts + 6 Bonus Exercise Pts TTOM of the month hit with a bang! Feel like absolute crap, but still managed to get out in the sunshine & take the boys to the local Open Range Zoo & then did a stint tonight on the elliptical.
Tuesday - 28pts + 8 Bonus Exercise Pts Have clawed back those points I went over on Sunday! Wanted to have a really good weight loss this week, but TTOM is making me feel like absolute crap!!!
Wednesday - 32pts + 10 Bonus Exercise Pts Have wanted to eat carbs all day long - don't know what the hell is wrong with me. Tired, and just over having TTOM for some reason. Still managed a great stint on the elliptical. Hoping for a loss tomorrow!!

Ho Hum..... A Bloody Gain!

A gain of 300gms this week. Was expecting it, and I am happy that I have worked my arse off these last few days & turned around what could have been a massive gain. I now have 700gms to get to my 20kgs, and I WILL be getting that goal at my next meeting! Just watch me!

Points for this Week

Saturday - 39pts + 9 Bonus Exercise Pts Grand Final day today & I allocated myself 15pts for nibblies, and then skipped dinner cause I was so full. I doubt very much I would have used that many points as I didn't go overboard or eat anything I shouldn't have, but just used up all my exercise points to make up the difference. Going to work my butt off this week to counteract my 2 week holiday!
Sunday - 32pts + 7 Bonus Exercise Pts Got to stop bloody eating over my points each day. I really want my exercise points to be used as a bonus to help me with weight loss, but I keep going over so have to use them - ARGH! Will try harder over the next few days!
Monday - 36pts + 6 Bonus Excerise Pts ARGH did it again - went over my points! I have just been feeling so horrible these last couple of days, and so bloody hungry! I don't know what the hell is going on! Hubby seems to think everyone is grumpy & tired because of Daylight Savings, but I feel there is something more going on. Perhaps TTOM (That Time Of Month) is looming?!
Tuesday - 29pts + 8 Bonus Exercise Pts YAY! Finally did it! Stayed within my 30pts & even did a good stint on the elliptical! Very happy & hope it helps with the gain I am expecting on Thursday! Still feeling really "blargh". Definitely think TTOM is on it's way & also could be that I am exhausted after my fortnight away?!! Hopefully will feel better in the coming days.
Wednesday - 30pts + 12 Bonus Exercise Pts Yay again! Didn't go over my points! Managed to break up my exercise today into 3 lots so I was able to get a heap of exercising done - just find it so bloody hard to find some time for myself during the day!! Have been spring cleaning like crazy today so have not stopped until now. Feeling a bit funny in the tummy, so I definitely know TTOM will be here probably tomorrow - GREAT for weigh in tomorrow morning (not!!!). I am desperately hoping I have done enough this week to avoid a gain - a stay at home would be fantastic, and a tiny loss, even 100gms (not that I dare to expect one) would be unbelievable!

The Holiday is Over!

Home from our 2 week holiday to our Caravan on the Murray. Had an awesome time with great friends who were camping in their tents on the 2 sites beside us. Made me realise, I really never want to camp in a tent - give me a proper inner spring mattress in a caravan any day!!! The days were glorious (above 20deg each day!), and the nights were freezing!! The kids had an absolute ball & spent each day out & about in the fresh air. Was just wonderful, but God, it was so great to come home to our King size bed, and an ensuite!! The toilet block was a bit of a hike!!
Anyway, although I had the very best of intentions, I didn't track & I let my hair down. I stayed away from the ultimate temptation however - potato chips! For that, I am very proud. But I did consume some wine, some cider (something I have just discovered - it's delicious!), and the odd beer now & then. And of course, although I did eat good choices, I overate. I really noticed how huge my portion sizes became by the end of the fortnight.
So, I weighed myself this morning, and it seems like I have put on just under 2kgs. But I am back into it today, so am really hoping I can whittle this down before my official WI at my meeting on Thursday. Got back on the elliptical tonight - God, how I have missed it! Ankle is a bit sore, so only managed 45min, but went a bit harder on it than usual.
Had some friends over for the Grand Final rematch today, and although I did partake a little in the nibblies (good stuff - dolmades, olives, dips for which I allocated 15 points), I was full enough not to eat dinner, and I did not have one sip of alcohol - something that I don't think I have ever done during my adult life on Grand Final day (unless pregnant!).
If I have a gain on Thursday, I'll take it on the chin, and remember that I really did have a great holiday. It's only one little hiccup in my journey! I have the rest of my life to make up for it!!!

Bugger!

A loss of 700gms this week. Bloody devastated! I worked my arse off this week to lose over a kilo & get to my 20kgs goal. I didn't even have a bloody drink on my Birthday!!! Any other time I am sure I would be happy with this loss, but this week it just falls flat!
Anyway, off to our caravan for 2 weeks from Saturday. I have 2 weeks worth of trackers printed out to take with me, and I am going to try & make it to a WW meeting, although it is really not close by to where we are staying - will see how I go anyway.
Going to exercise a lot to counteract all the drinking I will be doing. One of our friends who is coming away is also on WW, so we will be able to keep each other in line!
Only 400gms to go to reach this 20kgs goal!!

Points This Week

Thursday - 30.5pts Out for dinner & Bingo with my girlfriends tonight, so unable to do any exercise & God, do I feel guilty!!!! Was a blessing I got home at 10pm, cause I didn't get stuck into the wine like I usually do on Thursday nights!
Friday - 39.5pts + 9 Bonus Exercise Pts Got stuck into some hot chips today - OH MY GOD THEY WERE FANTASTIC!!! From a shop where we used to live that makes THE BEST hot chips with chicken salt. Also, wine, wine & wine! Sooooo, went over my points, but made up for most of it on the elliptical.
Saturday - 47pts + 2.5 Bonus Exercise Pts What a day!! Had 2 kids sleeping over, and had my family over for pizza to celebrate the return of my parents from their 11 week caravaning holiday to Queensland. My brother turned up 40 minutes early whilst I was on the elliptical, so I didn't get to do my exercise to make up for the wine & pizza I knew I was going to consume!! Not happy Jan!
Sunday - 29pts + 12 Bonus Exercise Pts My 38th Birthday today! Hectic day which finished off with a long stint on the elliptical & a lovely dinner of dumplings (WW recipe). Only 2.5pts over for the week now, so will make that up tomorrow no problems!
Monday - 26pts + 8 Bonus Exercise Pts Didn't concentrate on my eating today, so didn't eat very well & didn't eat all my points. Struggled on the elliptical tonight as my foot is giving me extreme pain since seeing the physio. Will book an appointment to get in & see him again ASAP.
Tuesday - 30.5pts + 5 Bonus Exercise Pts Absolutely exhausted tonight. Have been going to bed too late, so it's something I will try & rectify. Hubby is hogging the elliptical tonight, so I only did a small session on it tonight. Was a beautiful day, FINALLY, so spent most of the day in the sunshine - wish I had of thought to take the boys on a bike ride, would have been great exercise for me!
Wednesday - 32pts + 6 Bonus Exercise Pts The day before weigh in is not the ideal day to be going over points, but I have saved up 18 exercise points this week. Was hoping for a good loss to get to my 20kgs goal, but according to my home scales, I think the loss will be a minimal one. Never mind, any loss is a good loss, right! Bugger, just wanted to make that goal before going away for 2 weeks! Took the kids to the drive ins tonight, which usually means lots of crap food, but I snacked on Snakatas & counted out 10 lollies to munch on. I did mean to grab a couple of apples, but forgot! Anyway, didn't have much time for exercise, but must admit felt great on the elliptical today - would have gone on forever if I had the time!

Whoop Whoop!!

A loss of 1.4kgs this week!! I just can't believe that I have been able to turn around my massive weekend & have had a loss. I know I have worked my butt off, but it just didn't seem like it was hard work! I am really enjoying the weight loss & the exercising - it is almost like I am addicted to it!!!
However, I have started to stress about our holiday in a week & a half's time. 2 weeks of no computer access or meetings - ie, no support & no online tracking! I know I usually let myself go easy on holiday & then I struggle to get back into it, so this time I am going to take my scales, print out some tracking sheets, and keep myself in order. Although I know I will go over each day's points with wine, I will have to make sure I go on lots of walks to counter balance it. At least with my scales I can monitor my weight to ensure I don't gain.
My goal for this week is to continue on the elliptical for an hour each day, and I will even try to increase that time if I can. I only have 1.1kgs to get to my 20kg goal! It's my 38th Birthday on Sunday, and it would be a nice birthday present to myself!!!

Points for This Week

Thursday - 67.5pts + 4 Bonus exercise pts Naughty Thursday got a bit out of control thanks to some wines & 15.5pt chocolate freckle from a local chocolate shop! If only I had of worked out the points before I ate it & not after!
Friday - 28.5pts Too tired today for any exercise, but managed to stay under points.
Saturday - 46.5pts + 4 Bonus exercise pts Over in points thanks to 2 bottles of wine at my school reunion. Got talked into getting a lift & drinking - just like peer group pressure back at school!! haha!
Sunday - 33pts + 8.5 Bonus exercise pts Bloody chocolate freckle again - but only had a 3pt portion, which still put me over my points. Thank heavens for exercise!
Monday - 29.5pts + 12.5 Bonus exercise pts Desperately trying to claw back those points!!!
Tuesday - 28pts + 12.5 Bonus exercise pts Pizza night tonight, but still under points, and exercising like a trojan! Only a little bit over in points for the week now, so hoping I can make that up tomorrow & avoid a gain on Thursday (fingers crossed!)!!
Wednesday - 28.5pts + 12.5 Bonus Exercise Pts I have now made up all the points I went over on the weekend & have 2.5pts saved for the week. TTOM arrived this morning, so I am hoping that doesn't contribute to a gain tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!!!

17.5kgs of Ugly Fat Gone Forever!!!

A loss of 1.9kgs today, making it a total loss of 17.5kgs. Only 50.2kgs to go (God help me!). Seems like a lot when I think of what is in front of me, but it seemed like a lot when I had 67kgs to lose, and look where I am now!!! I am extremely motivated & can really see me getting to goal, and it is sooooo exciting!!!
11 weeks ago I set myself the goal of losing 15kgs before my 20 year school reunion, which happens to be this Saturday night. Unfortunately I didn't reach this goal, however, I have lost a total of 11.6kgs in those 11 weeks! Not bad really!!! Now the big dilemma I have had this week is whether or not to drive to the reunion, or get a lift & drink. BUT, after my weighin this morning, I have decided I am going to drive. I love my wine, but I really don't want to spoil my great work, and although I know I can control myself on Saturday night with snacking whilst drinking, it is the next day when I am hungover that I can't stop eating crap!!! Is it really worth it to have a gain next week? No, I don't think so. So, I have made the decision to drive, and just have one or two wines, and water the rest of the time.
As for the other challenge I have set myself of losing 30kgs before New Year, I have 18.4kgs to go in 17 weeks. Definitely achieveable, but a huge task!
So, for this week, my plan is to continue what I have been doing this week - keeping within my points & using my bonus exercise points if I need to (I confirmed with my WW leader this morning that I was doing this right); keeping up the daily exercising: and keeping up the water intake.
Onwards & downwards.......
P.S. A special thanks to Kath for continuing to support me with your regular comments. Extremely appreciated!!!

This Week's Points

Thursday - 32.5pt + 5.5 Bonus Exercise Pts Went out for dinner tonight (on the spur of the moment), but made good healthy choices. Spent 25min on my beloved elliptical that was fixed today, and 5min on the treadmill (that I find boring as hell!). I am now about to have a few wines, which I have accounted for, and I am happy I am still under points with my bonus exercise points - must be the first time on "naughty" Thursday this has happened!!!
Friday - 32.5pts + 4 Bonus Exercise Pts The head cold that has been lurking all week finally hit with a vengeance this morning! Have felt like shit all day long, but have been extremely hungry for some reason! Managed to get on the elliptical & am off to bed very soon (it's only 8pm!!!). Loving these bonus exercise points that allow me to go over in points!!!
Saturday - 29.5pts + 6.5 Bonus Exercise Pts Have been on a mission to lengthen the time on the elliptical. Eating is excellent, water intake brilliant. VERY motivated!!!
Sunday - 31.5pts + 4 Bonus Exercise Pts So, have eaten over my points a few times this week, but only because I have had the bonus exercise points. Still have 11.5pts saved up of exercise points, but won't be using them! Have (so far) resisted the half a bottle of wine sitting in the fridge door that I left from Thursday night!! Went on a lovely boat cruise of the Yarra River today & had lunch at Southbank. Easy to eat healthy because the kids are crazy about sushi, so that's what we had!! Feeling another early night coming on (after my usual Jarrah hot choc!).
Monday - 33pts + 7.5 Bonus Exercise Pts Went crazy on the elliptical today. Yep. I'm addicted. Think about it all day - when can I get a break from the kids (well, the little one in particular) to get on the elliptical!! Had a massive point blow out with dinner tonight - made a Chicken & Bacon Risotto for 14pts! WTF? Was beautiful, but will NOT be cooking it again!!! Thank God for the exercise points!!!!
Tuesday - 32pts + 4 Bonus Exercise Pts. Seems to be the trend this week of going over my points & eating my exercise points. I don't think I am used to exercising so much, and it is making me extremely hungry!!! Hopefully will be able to control this over the coming weeks.
Wednesday - 34.5pts + 6.5 Bonus Exercise Pts. Had a run in with a banana cake this morning that I had baked last night. Just couldn't resist, but 7pts later!!! So, once again have gone over in my points, although I really tried hard today!! I have to work on reducing my points as once breastfeeding stops, it's bye bye to those bonus 7pts! Gosh, what will I do?!?! Will just have to keep exercising like a Trojan for bonus points!! Fingers crossed for a decent loss tomorrow - will be so disappointed if it is less than a kilo!! By the way, have banked (yes, saved!!!) 20 bonus points this week!! WHOOO HOOOO!! What a change for me instead of going over in points. Very proud of myself, and it's something I am going to have to make sure I do each & every week!

A Small Bump on the Road to Goal....

Disappointed to report a gain of 500gms. How do I feel about it? PISSED OFF, and angry at myself, but I know I deserve it. I have to stop going over points, and then trying ridiculously hard to make up for it in the days that follow. I have to plan my big nights, and stop this vicious cycle! And that's exactly what I have done for tonight - naughty Thursday! I have planned out all my food, and have even included half a bottle of normal white wine, and then a full bottle of my low cal Lindeman's Early Harvest wine. I have even planned for carrot sticks with salsa as a snack, and after exercise, I will have enough points to indulge in a WW ice cream if I feel like it. Makes me happy to have taken the time to plan & be organised, and now I won't have to bust my arse to make up for any points I go over! A proud moment!
So, would I do it again - would I go out & get pissed, and then with a hangover the next day eat a McDonald's feast?!?! No, probably not, but I have to remember it is only one week out of the rest of my life, and although this is a bump on my journey, it has not deterred me in any way. In fact, it has made me more determined to have a big loss this week, and I have learnt that I have to be more accountable with my points! I have to stop this trend of going over points continuously!
So, goals for this week - keep under points, keep up the exercise that is going great guns at the moment, and keep up the water intake (which is also going great).

This Week's Points

Thursday - 51pts Yep "Naughty Thursday" struck again! Although less points that last Thursday!! This week I asked Hubby to buy me the Lindeman's Early Harvest wine that is only 5.5pts per bottle. Hubby doesn't like it, so he stuck to our regular wine (which is so much nicer), but I thought I would do the right thing! Had a bit of chocolate, nuts & hot chips, but counted all my points! Now to work it off this week!!
Friday - 27pts + 2.5 Bonus exercise pts! Have drank heaps of water today which is a bonus, and although my leg is aching, I spent 30min on the treadmill. About to have a bath with the 2 little ones, and then will be in bed by 9pm. Sad on a Friday night, but I am stuffed after a bad night's sleep last night with my dog barking to be let out (twice) and Aidan waking at 5am due to his molars coming through! Better to have an early night than to snack because of tiredness though!
Saturday - 36.5pts. Really have no accurate total of points for today, as we had an Engagement party to attend, and I thought, Stuff it! I am going to drink & enjoy myself. Was planning on driving, but we don't go out much without the kids (well, hardly ever really), and it is only one day out of my life, so I will enjoy it! And I sure did. I had my hair done at the hairdressers, had a new outfit, and although I may not look slimmer to others, I felt slimmer & more comfortable within myself, and I really enjoyed myself! I stayed away from the deep fried finger food, and drank a few waters in between wines - very proud of myself!
Sunday - 49.5pts. Okay, who the bloody hell knew a McDonalds Double Quarter Pounder was 18 bloody points?!?!?! With my sundae & Fries, my whole Maccas meal ended up being 31.5pts. Good hangover food, but God damn awful stuff! I hate the kids eating that crap, but I really needed it!!! Compensated with a nice vegie stirfry for dinner, but still went over the points for the day in an enormous way! Spent many hours weeding the garden for incidental exercise, so hopefully that combats some of the grease & fat I took on at lunch!!
Monday - 31pts + 3.5 Bonus exercise Pts. Had a run in with Hommus today! Really wanted to be under my points, so I am disappointed in myself. My hamstrings are killing me today after yesterday's hours of weeding, but I still managed 40min on the treadmill, which gave me some bonus points. Still 39pts over for the week - bugger!
Tuesday - 29.5pts + 3.5 Bonus exercise Pts!Pizza night tonight, and I splurged with a salad to share with hubby - yummy rocket, balsamic & parmesan salad which is absolutely delish. Felt like I could have stayed on the treadmill forever tonight - all parts of me are feeling great except for a pain I am getting on the bottom of my bad foot near my toes. Something I will have to speak to the physio about. Still 35pts over for the week, ah well, it was worth it!!
Wednesday -
28.5pts + 2.5 Bonus Exercise Pts! Saw Mary Poppins The Musical with the kids today in the city (which was absolutely brilliant!!) Bought the kids lots of treats (pies for lunch, ice creams & lollies for the show), but I had a salad roll & my WW muesli bar for treat. Have only spent 30min on the treadmill tonight as it was after 9pm by the time I got on it! Hoping for a STS (Stay the Same) at least for tomorrow's weigh in. Will be disappointed if I gain, but I deserve it after the weekend, and am willing to cop it on the chin! 31pts over in total this week... bummer!

52 Weeks on WW (This Time Around)!!

It's now my 52nd week on WW, not counting the weeks I was absent. So 52 full weeks of attempting to lose weight! Works out I have lost an average of 200gms per week. Pretty pitiful, but better than nothing!
I had a loss of 1kg this week. Was disappointed this morning to be weighing over half a kilo heavier than I did yesterday morning, but such is life! Hubby actually gained 200gms this week, and was devastated. He has been working so very hard, but I think it may be his body is in a bit of shock from all the exercise, so he should have a decent loss next week!!
I'm finding it just so easy at the moment to make good food choices & everything is really going along well. God, I just hope it lasts! At this morning's meeting my WW leader Liz (who is just so sensational!) talked about "WHY?" we are doing this, and suggested that we write down some of our reasons "WHY?". She asked us if we could imagine that moment stepping on the scales & the girls saying to us "Congratulations, you've hit goal!". It sent a huge shiver down my spine! I can see it! I can feel it! I will do this!
I know I did this many years ago, but here is a fresh new list of reasons WHY I want to lose weight & get to my goal:-
  • I want to be healthy & fit & live a long life
  • I want to set a good example for my 4 darling children
  • I want to look & feel good
  • I want to be able to walk into any shop & buy clothes off the rack, and have a cupboard bursting full of nice clothes, not just clothes that fit & cover up my bulges!
  • I want to wear sexy lingerie & pretty bras, and matching sets of underwear!
  • I want my husband to look at me & think I am gorgeous & sexy
  • I want to feel confident
  • I want to ease the stress on my bad ankle

Continuing Being Accountable

I found it an enormous help last week to post my points totals every day. I think it keeps me in line. Of course, Thursdays are my "naughty" day of the week, and I think they will continue to be. It's the day I can indulge & the day I look forward to all week!

Thursday - 59pts Yep, WTF?!?! I had too much wine, and then indulged in cashews & almonds. I have over estimated on the points values (because I did not weigh the nuts!) but I will make up for it. Would rather over estimate & work harder to counteract it, than underestimate & put on weight!!! Must remember on "naughty" day to weigh everything!
Friday - 31pts Had some people over & made my delicious banana cake. Of course, by the end of the day, I had 2 slices (10pts)! ARGH! Wanted to be under points today, but will get exercising the next few days to make up some points. Elliptical should be fixed by the end of NEXT week now!
Saturday - 27.5pts Ate both brekkie & lunch out - at the same place - how funny! But it is my fav cafe across the road from the ballet studio. I made excellent choices & am finding it so much easier to just pick the right meals - it's like it's second nature now to go for the low fat alternative!
Sunday - 26.5pts + 2 bonus exercise points!! Made an effort & spent half an hour on the treadmill, much to the protest of my ankle! The elliptical is much easier on it - cannot wait until it is fixed! Have been super good this weekend with my food & resisted wine, much to the disdain of my hubby, who has called me boring (or something along those lines)!!!
Monday - 31pts + 2.5 bonus exercise points! ARGH went over my points in a major way at lunch today. Who would have thought bloody cous cous was so high in points?!?! Greg made a lovely cous cous mixed with left over roast veg from last night & chickpeas, peas & beans, but I should have weighed it before I ate it!! I am still 20 points over for the week, but hopefully can reel that in a bit more over the next 2 days!
Tuesday - 27.5pts + 3 bonus exercise points!! Pizza night & stuck to my 2 slices! Was hard to begin with because I was sooooo hungry, but I drank so much water it filled me up. Got on the treadmill later in the night & did the unbelievable - I ran!!! I just felt so good & was walking so fast, I thought "stuff it" and tried out running. Now, let's just remember that I was told by the doctors I would never be able to do things like running ever again in my life, so this was just the most astonishing thing - to be able to run! Sure, I looked like a complete idiot, as my ankle doesn't bend in a normal way enabling me to take a normal stride, but at least I can do it (and it's not something I would do in public anyway!). Hubby came in at one stage when he heard me running, and I had to stop as I was laughing so hard!! The look on his face was absolutely priceless - absolute shock! Anyway, still 15pts over for the week. Will be able to make up a few of the points today but not 15 unfortunately!
Wednesday - 29.5pt + 2 bonus exercise points! Made some a yummy WW soup of Curried Cauliflower & Lentil for dinner. Just devine! Caught up with some girlfriends & took along a box of the WW choc eclairs (1.5pts each). Delish, although doesn't compare in size or taste to a real one with lovely fresh cream - YUM! Had to have two of course, but still came under points for the day! Have ended up being 12.5pts over for the week. Something I am going to have to watch this next week - I want to stay within points, so that is the goal I am setting myself!

Holy Shit Batman!!!

A loss of 2.3kgs this week! WTF??!?!? Better than I could have hoped for! Hit my 10% goal again, as well as my goal of 15kgs in total lost - WHOOO HOOOOO! Going to have to keep sticking within my points if I am to continue getting results like this! Well on the way to my 30kgs by Christmas goal!!
Feeling so good within myself, and very in control!

Keeping Accountable for My Points

Points Totals for This Week -
Thursday - 47pts (eeeek!!!) Over by 17pts because of my 7pts on wine, and 10pts I splurged on bloody Chocolate Chip Cookies - they were apparently 1pt for each cookie, and I didn't even really like them! The good news is the cookies are all gone, and they will not be replaced!!! Now I am going to have to work hard to make up for it the rest of the week!!
Friday - 31pts Bugger, went over by 1!! I am supposed to be making up for the blowout on Thursday, but had a bottle of wine (7pts) - would have had heaps to save if I didn't. However, no more wine now for the weekend & going to attempt some exercise today. Should be a good points Saturday!
Saturday - 27.5pts Yay! Saved 2.5pts today. Spent over 30min exercising on the WiiFit - such fun & a great way to work up a sweat! Couldn't find on the WW website the amount of exercise points the Wii would be, so I estimated 2 pts for 30min - meaning I now have only 13.5pts to make up! My ankle is doing okay - just my heel spur in my good foot giving me grief (thanks for asking Kath!!)
Sunday - 28.5pts
Monday - 30pts
Was going to make up some bonus exercise points tonight on the elliptical, but hubby has just broken it!!! Talk about a crisis for me!!! Will be on the phone to the fitness equipment shop first thing in the morning to get someone out to fix it!!!
Tuesday - 27pts
Have placed a service call on the elliptical & it should be fixed by the end of the week (fingers crossed). Have also seen my physio & have new orthotics in my new runners & feel like I could run a million miles! YAY!! Went out for our usual Tuesday night pizza, and I only had TWO slices!! I usually eat 4-6 pieces, but was so impressed with myself, and don't even feel hungry!!
Wednesday - 24pts Really did not eat enough points today, but was a hectic day & resulted in me first forgetting to eat brekkie, so had that very late, and then because of the late brekkie, I forgot to eat lunch!!! ARGH! Anyway, resulted in me saving lots of points, and means I have gone over my points by a total of 5 for the week. This is excellent for me, especially considering last week I was over by 38 points!!!!

Under 120kgs - AGAIN! YAY!

Weigh in today saw a loss of 1.2kgs. Was hoping for more, but really, that's just being ridiculous! Thankfully now I have hit my first goal (yet again!) of going under 120kgs. However, it means I have dropped a point & now have 30pts a day on the WW program. Don't know what I will do when I finish up breastfeeding & drop a whole 7pts! How do people survive on 18pts a day!??!? What do they eat - dust!??!!? Think I will have to turn vegetarian & give up bread (my favourite thing!) if I ever get under 20pts a day!!! Oops, shouldn't say IF I ever, should say, WHEN I get under 20pts a day!
Feeling really good & in the right head space still. Hope this continues on as I really want to get under 100kgs at the end of the year. I am really noticing the difference already in my clothes - and my boobs have shrunk - I mean REALLY shrunk!! But I also think Aidan is starting to wean himself by drinking less, so that could also be contributing.
This week I am going to blog my points total for each day, as it is a continuing habit of mine to constantly go over points every few days - something I am getting away with at the moment, but there will come a time when I just won't lose because of it! So, if I am accountable here, maybe I will be more careful about my point intake!
Having severe problems this week with my leg. I am having constant sharp shooting pains from my ankle to me knee. Greg accidentally sat on my leg on Sunday, and at the time, I felt the pain right at the bone break site. Can't get in to see my physio until Tuesday, so will just have to ease up on the exercise (which I was going great guns at!) and keep icing it, until then. My heel spur in my good foot seems to have flared up again - oh joy! I often wonder what it would be like to be able to walk without pain now I have been doing it for 5 years! And just to be able to chuck on any pair of shoes when going out would be wonderful. I have to stop & think about where I will be going, how far I will be walking, etc etc, as I can only walk a fair distance in my runners - something that doesn't look all that good when you are dressed nicely. And don't even get me started on shoes with heels - how I look longingly at anything with a heel & remember those days of feeling so feminine in a nice pair of heels! AND I could also go on about skirts & 3/4 length pants that show ankles - can't wear them now with my deformed & swollen ankle. Sob, sob, sob.....
Anyhow, going to have a great week this week & a great loss! I am determined! And posting my daily points WILL keep me accountable & on track!!

The Breakfast From Point Hell!

Saturday morning I had a lovely sleep in - if you can call being woken at 6am, then breastfeeding a monster til 7am, then dozing until 8am a sleep in! Anyway, I was awoken by the smell of bacon cooking... lovely. Hubby had cooked a huge fry up. I enjoyed it immensely! However, it wasn't until later that night when I sat down to work out the points, that I nearly died of a heart attack!!!

1 English muffin - 2pts
WW Canola spread on muffin - 0.5pts
3 rashers bacon, no fat - 4pts
1 1/2 eggs with skim milk scrambled - 3.5pts
2 hash browns - 4pts
Tomato Sauce - 0.5pts
2 skim milk coffees - 3pts
Orange juice - 2.5pts
Total Points for brekkie - 20 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was fantastic, but never again will I eat it before I work out the points! What the hell was he thinking dishing me all that up!??! And what the hell was I doing eating it all!?!

Luckily I had a small lunch & dinner to compensate & still had 1.5pts spare at the end of the day!!

A Great Big Swift Kick Up the Bum!

Gain of a kilo this week. So disappointed in myself, but I saw it coming! I was lazy - no tracking, no exercise & not much water! The tracking is the killer though - I eat far too much if I don't keep track of how many points everything that goes into my mouth is!
So, although devestated, I am glad I gained. It is definitely the kick up the arse I need!!! Going to work my arse off this week to lose this kilo and extra as a bonus. No excuses!!
So, goals (again!!!) - water, exercise & bloody tracking, which is the most important of the three!!!
Onwards & downwards!

An Undeserved Loss!

A terrible weekend! Yes, you guessed it, I gave into bloody wine again! Why, oh why, oh why do I keep doing this to myself! Anyway, I thankfully had a loss of 800gms this week, which keeps me on target for my Xmas challenge. I secretly wish I had of gained, so that it would have given me a kick up the bum for being so cocky & complacent in thinking that I could have a bad weekend & a loss to follow!!!
Anyway, one good thing has come of this week. Hubby has gotten his act together! I was waiting for the penny to drop with him, and Thank God, it finally has! We are looking at a holiday to Malaysia again towards the end of next year, and I have told him in no uncertain terms that I WILL NOT be going if I am a big fatty boombah!! He has been on the xtrainer this week & I am so happy I will not be tempted by him anymore! YAY!!
I am now 120.1kgs. Only 200gms to go & I will be back under 120kgs - CANNOT WAIT! The downside is I lose a point on the WW plan! However, I really can see my Xmas goal in reach! I will do it! I can do it!! Exciting times ahead!!!

On a Roll to Lose These Rolls.....

1kg loss this week, which takes my overall loss to 11.8kgs. I feel like such a fake, as I have lost this weight before! Why on earth do I keep gaining it back & then having to relose it!?!?! NEVER AGAIN! I am never going back!
Anyway, I am well on target for my 2010 challenge. I have lost 5.9kgs in the last 4 weeks, so well on my way to losing 30kgs by Christmas - only 24.1kgs to go in 24 weeks! A big ask, but I can bloody well do it!! I will try my absolute hardest!!!
As for the last week, must admit I haven't been perfect. Had a few wines on a couple of nights, when I had resolved myself to only have wine once a week. The husband has been a terrible influence, and I think he can see it in his own weight loss results (he had a loss of a 100gms this week!). The problem is definitely not the wine - the problem is I just cannot stop eating whilst drinking wine!!! So once a week is definitely a good choice for me!
TTOM also arrived on Monday, so I did sneak a few of party sized chocolates. Don't know why I have said "sneak" - I was honest with myself & tracked it! So, overall it was an okay week. I went over points a couple of times & didn't exercise due to the pain with my heel spur in my good foot, so I am happy with the kilo loss. I've also just worked out that I have lost 17.4% of the overall amount I need to lose! Not too shabby!!
Have just been shopping & bought myself some new Asics runners, so will attempt the xtrainer today to see how my foot goes.

I Can Do It!!!

I can do this! I will do this!!
I was derailed by my "well meaning" husband who brought home some wine on the weekend. Also I ate a WHOLE medium pizza on Tuesday night whilst catching up with my girlfriends as well! I am still not at the stage were I can stop eating when I am full - something I am really working on! However, I got straight back in the saddle and back on track!! And the proof is in the pudding - a loss of 1.3kgs this week. Have now lost 10.8kgs (yet again!) but this time I will be keeping it off - I am NEVER going back!!! I can see my Xmas goal in reach (of being under 100kgs) and I am bloody well going to get there! Just watch me!

Week 45!!!

Eeeeekkkk... 45 weeks this time on Weight Watchers! BUT, at least I keep going back & will stick with it until the end!
A loss of 400gms this week. Only a little loss, but I am extremely happy with it, especially since I weighed the same as last week on my home scales! I spent a few days away with the kids, and although I wasn't naughty, I wasn't tracking my points, and wasn't 100% strict with myself. So, I am definitely pleased a loss showed! Back into it 100% today!
Nothing much else to report this week. It's FREEZING cold, and school holidays too, which I absolutely love! I love lazy mornings with the kids, and days spent at home in our PJs! And the good thing about winter time & the cold weather, is it is so easy to enjoy nice warm soups a few times a week!!!

Goodbye Gastro!

Hubby woke through the night with gastro! Oh joy! Only my daughter has escaped it with just mild tummy pains! Lucky thing!
Weigh in today & I had a loss of 3.2kgs. Initially I was disappointed, as yesterday my home scales showed over 5kgs lost with the gastro! However, I have not been to the toilet (if you know what I mean) since Monday, so I guess that could have been the difference today. It wasn't until I got home that I realised what an awesome start that is to the goal I have set to September. That leaves only 11.8kg to go!!! Absolutely achievable!
Have had a shit day at home, especially with Aidan being very demanding. I am still breastfeeding, but REALLY over it! Have been trying to feed him up on diary as I start to wean him. He just hardly eats anything & prefers breast milk, but I really want my life back!!! It's going to be a long hard struggle with him, but I am so ready!

Goals for the Remainder of 2010

Forgot to mention in my previous post the 2 extremely hard goals I have set myself. Might as well aim for the stars! I have my 20 year High School reunion at the beginning of September, and I will lose15kgs before then! A week later I go on holidays for 2 weeks, but then when I return from holidays, I will lose another 15kgs before Christmas! That means I have 26 weeks (not counting the 2 weeks I am away on holidays) to lose 30 kilos. Easy!!! (yeah right!) As long as I keep my head where it is now, I will be cruising (and as long as I keep off the bloody wine!).

A Looooooong Week!

Oh God, what an extremely long week it has been!
I have been super fantastic with my WW this week, and only had a drink on one occasion - dinner at my Mum & Dad's on Sunday night with the whole family. I was even a really girl good & bought a new wine advertised in the WW magazine - Lindemans Early Harvest. I saw it in the mag months ago, but my local bottleshops have only just got it in stock. It's low cal & low alcohol, but it's nice, and a good change from the Yellowglen Jewel range (also low cal & low alcohol), which I was really tiring of. Lindemans also do a sparkling which is nice & light.
Anyway, things have been going great, and bang, after dinner Sunday night Owen starts vomiting. Then Monday morning at 3am I wake with the runs, and the vomiting follows not long after. Later Monday afternoon Aidan starts with the vomiting. Oh joy! Tuesday, just when I thought he was better, Owen gets the runs! It is now Wednesday, I am still a bit queasy, Owen has recovered, Aidan still has the runs & now Callum has the runs. Paige had just come home early from school with tummy pains. Fortunately it seems to have passed Greg by. Would be terrible for him to be sick in his first week at a new job!!
The one upside of the whole saga is I am going to have a brilliant loss at WI tomorrow. I was doing so well anyway that I knew the loss would be a good one, but this has just given it a huge boost. Not something I would wish on anyone for weight loss though!!!
It's nice to know that things have finally clicked & I am back into WW with gusto. I committed to get there! Even if there are hiccups on the way, I will win!

The Little Engine That Could!

Well, I am OVER it! Finally the penny has dropped, and I am over being fat! I am over looking at myself in the mirror & being horrified at what I have become. Enough is bloody enough! It's time!
Driving on the way to my WW meeting this morning, I was thinking of myself as "The Little Engine That Could". As long as I keep trying & persisting, I will get there one day! A spectacular gain of 3.9kg this morning, meaning a total of 9.8kg gained in 3 months! It's amazing how completely off the rails both hubby and I went as soon as we learned of his redundancy at work. Looking back at my last post on this blog, it seems I had an inkling that I would turn to wine & chocolate to cope, and sure enough, I did with a vengeance!

The good news is that hubby has a new job, and he starts this Monday!!!

Another Goal Reached! 15kgs Lost (AGAIN)!!!

Made my next goal for 2010 - 15kgs gone. Of course, I had hit this goal last year before we went to Malaysia!!
700gms lost this week. Expected a bit more, but with my weekend blowouts, I am thankful I am having regular losses.
I really have to try & stay focussed and not lose track this week. We have just found out this morning that hubby's job is being made redundant & he finishes up at the end of April. Just a major upheaval when the bread winner of the family is jobless! My maternity leave is up next month, so if worse comes to worst, I can always go back to work (I was initially going to resign & not go back!). Hopefully I won't get stressed and turn to wine & chocolate to cope!!!!
Anyway, onwards & downwards....
